Yes, Yes, Yes – I am back in school!  I love school.  There are many reasons why I love school: I get excited by the thought of meeting a whole new group of people, who have come to learn and share their knowledge and selves with me.  I get to discover their intelligence, their convictions, and to see their commitment to completing the course successfully.  Many of the lasting relationships I already have began in school.  Schools and structured learning situations activate a ‘heady’ feeling inside of me.  For me, this is a dedicated time to explore a subject or topic with a group of people who are already ‘tuned into’ learning more, sharing their understanding, and adding another arsenal of information to my brain and thoughts.  Yeah! And this time, learning has taken on a new dimension … I get to add ‘wisdom’ to what I absorb.  I was initially reluctant and resistant to accepting this time as the described ‘Ascension’ phase in my life until I learned the true value of Ascension– a state of attraction and manifestation.  In my original understanding, I saw it as a time of ‘being old.’

Being Back In School: I recently Sunshine Entstarted a twelve week program at Sunshine Enterprises, a community business school academy created by Rising Tide Capital out of New Jersey.  The nationwide program of “Transforming Lives and Communities through Greenline coffeeEntrepreneurship” is into its third round of students in Chicago. Sunshine Enterprises has already produced one graduate’s greatly needed community business, Greenline Coffee.  I’m next!  Look for future chronicles of my experiences with others, who are focused on improving and expanding their businesses.

During an exercise in my very first class experience, I was reminded of the need for an open mind regardless of past knowledge.  I got slapped with the fact that I did not know everything.  As it turned out, I didn’t even know a basic component of real business investments– “Invest your money in a project or concept that has a formal and written outline of what the money is for.”  Ooops!!!  I had stood in front of the whole class and gave the wrong answer.  One of my coaches suggested that I view it as an opportunity of having shown my vulnerability and in so doing, I allowed others the freedom to express their thoughts.  Well, it is another way of viewing the same ’embarrassingly’ perceived incident.  Perspectives!

Che and TrevorSpeaking of Coaches: During the weekend of February 6 – 8, 2015, the phenomenal Sales and Marketing team of  Che and Trevor  hosted “72 Hours of Power,” a Live Virtual Classroom event.  For a full 72 hours I was able to listen to 72 hours of 25 – 35 minute powerful presentations from a multitude of successful business people.  They discussed valuable insights from diverse industries, descriptions and expertise, providing definite opportunities to connect personally.  I listened to twelve presenters and took notes also.  As I listened, I became so ‘pumped’ with energy from processing the new knowledge and the prospect of employing it in my own business affairs that I had to diffuse it with a music accompanied work out.  I played a dance favorite and worked off the energy with some of my upper body boxing moves – jab, jab, cross, uppercut … and of course deep breathing.

So now you see a little of what learning does for me.  How about you? Have you decided what you need to learn this year to move your business forward and achieve your desired goals?  Contact me and allow me to help you “harness the energy of your ideas to reach your desired solutions.”  In a FREE 30-MINUTE consultation, we can discuss your commitment to operating a successful business and how I can support you in making that happen.

Peace,
