A Month for Manifesting Miracles and Love

Posted on Updated on

zakiyyah-profile

In light of the annual Valentine’s Day hoopla and romance energy that permeates the atmosphere, February – that sacred time of the Aquarius – is an opportune month for manifesting miracles and love. It is also the month we celebrate Black History and my birthday on the 11th (Yeah Claudette!). And because I am ever the romantic optimist and cheerleader for the underdog, it is imperative that I make room for joyful periods during the cold winter months. So, I am happy to announce that Cider Enterprises Book Club is featuring author Zakiyyah Ameedah (Zee) and her book, “Jamaica: A Memoir of Miracles, Manifestations, Love,” on the February 16th conference call at 7 pm.

“Mama Never Told Me” by Carla L. Hawkins

Posted on Updated on

Carla L. Hawkins, author of “Mama Never Told Me,” is the featured guest for Cider Enterprises Book Club Conference Call on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 7 pm CST.  Carla’s new release gives praise and an account of her ‘now’ just in time for this Thanksgiving season.  From the perspective that there were “things Mama should have told me, but never did,” Carla’s story pours out the trials and triumphs that operated her life over as a child though adulthood.

I personally know Carla as a Mother, Wife, acclaimed Actress, Educator, Producer of the Destination Manifestation Sunday evening prayer call, and a very valued member within my spiritual community.  Now as a first time author, Carla has once again shown me why she rightfully and respectfully is an over-comer.  I see this tall, beautiful, statuesque, humble and poised person as living proof that in spite of what Mama didn’t tell her, she discovered enough on her own to successfully maneuver her way to the truth of her being. It’s always a great honor for me to “Thank” people who support what I do and also, I believe that one’s giving should support their beliefs. Therefore, I offer “Special Thanks” to the Cider Enterprises contributors and the many local groups and individuals, who gave their time and money in support of the Teena’s Legacy 5k Peace Walk.

Our Peace Walk on Saturday, May 2, 2015 was victorious on all accounts. Founder Jamika Smith pulled off an excellent fundraising campaign, gathering community support for her Retreat and Summer Apprentice Program that teaches 16 – 21 year old young ladies the trade of reviving, restoring and reupholstering furniture.

Graduation Reflections About My Business Development Process

Claudette grad
Claudette Redic, Owner Cider Enterprises

Reflections about my business development process abound during this season of graduations. I am proud to be a graduate of the Sunshine Enterprises Community Business Academy. It confirmed my 2014 affirmation that “I AM more than enough!” and my conviction that “I deserve the best.” Completion dispelled the fears I had erected: I am too old to learn; I might have a hard time adjusting to a rigorous twelve weeks of study; would I be able to apply the information obtained to help myself and others too? And I can proudly declare, “Yes I can!” I practice and apply the things I learned about business for myself first and then with others. You see, I have to walk the talk and now feel fulfilled in getting my own house in order.

Join Me in Supporting Teena’s Legacy 5K Walk for Peace and Youth Empowerment

Posted on Updated on

TL 5K WalkTeena’s Legacy is organizing their 2nd annual 5K Walk For Peace on Saturday, May 2, 2015. Their primary purpose is to raise $10,000 for its Retreat and Summer Apprentice Program for young ladies ages 16-21, which teaches them the trade of reviving, restoring and reupholstering furniture. Under the guidance and spirited leadership of founder Jamika Smith, these young ladies are encouraged to use the power of their inner gifts to create what they want in life. They have learned to create beauty from what they already have, reupholstering furniture and other re-purposed items for sale; and the valuable self-esteem building discussions and workshops they engage in, makes this a worthy model for youth development. I invite you to personally join me in this community event to walk, run, skate, push your walker around the track, sponsor a participant, or simply donate. Each participant and their group of supporters can help us reach our goal early to ensure and secure our Retreat and Summer Apprentice Program.

Releasing Negative Emotions with Gratitude and Solution-Based Answers

Gina
Gina Pearson & Claudette Redic

Today was a day of release.  As I opened my eyes this morning, I felt joy and gratitude to experience a new day.  Mornings are my favorite.  I could see it was a clear day from my bed.  Underneath my warm covers, I was easily and effortlessly able to move my limbs around.  Gratitude was in my heart because I had lived to meet another day.  I felt wonderful and appreciative for all that I am, for all that I have, and for the peace of knowing that I could look forward to another day of grace.  I am so thankful for my life.  I wake up in expectancy.

Lucy Bass Givens: My angel has gone on to her next assignment!

Posted on

Mrs. Lucy Bass GivensI know, everything must change and I am growing less resistant to these facts and relying more and more on what I feel in my heart. This is the place where I can hold on to the eternal.   My Sistah-friend, Lucy Bass Givens, has been my Angel for well over twenty years and she made the decision on September 30, 2014 to move on.   Her transition from loving and supporting me here on this earth has taken on ethereal proportions and propensities.  I shall always feel her presence with me.
