In the Disciplined to Win – Part 1 article, I began the discussion regarding the discipline of planning. I conveyed Cider Enterprises’ multiple need to create a significant digital presence in my three-fold business plans. Participating in free courses, workshops, classes and webinars helped me identify the available platform options, costs and tech requirements; and I planned the production of a blog as my first platform.
In disciplining Cider Enterprises to win as a Coaching and Consulting Company dedicated to “helping entrepreneurs harness the energy of their ideas,” I have to consistently practice what I preach. Every part of my three-fold business plan requires administrative organization. In each area of the business, I needed to create a significant digital presence. Mind you, I was still thinking in terms of old forms of communication- letters, calls, and memos. Well, technology happened to me too and I discovered far more effective ways to get the word out!
Are you prepared for opportunity? Community Based and Micro Business Entrepreneurs have the opportunity to make the important and unique decisions that their businesses require. Opportunity is a key element to success and Webster’s Dictionary provides a good working definition for those of us who have chosen to create “the great cake of our own” – a business.
Op`por`tu´ni`ty – Fit or convenient time or situation; a time or place permitting or favorable for the execution of a purpose; a suitable combination of conditions; suitable occasion; chance.
For those of us who are making plans and decisions for 2015, it is necessary to get back to basics in understanding the value of collaborative relationships in all aspects of our life, particularly our business partnerships. Webster defines Partnerships as: (noun) “the state of being partners; and … a relationship between partners.” Further research into the definition best sums it up as “the state of being related to a larger whole.” The concept of being part of a larger whole resonates with me and guides my involvement in community collaborations and business partnerships.
Cider Enterprises’ motto of “harnessing the energy of your ideas to help you reach your desired goals” is lived in real time commitment. The fulfillment of our claim “to help” is based upon the strength of our relationship with partners that are needed to coach and consult business owners. Partnerships are extremely important in helping organizations keep abreast of the latest practices and processes that entrepreneurs need to succeed.
