Posted on

It-Works-if-You-Work-It-195x300Johnnie ColemonFebruary is a month of great celebration for me primarily because of my born day on Feb. 11th. Yes, it’s My Birthday month!  In addition, I will also be engaging in “A Three-Part Celebration of the Life and Legacy of Rev. Dr. Johnnie Colemon,” my beloved Spiritual Mother and one of the greatest ‘over-comers’ I’ve ever had the opportunity to personally learn and grow from. The Cider Enterprises Book Club Conference Call will be concluding this three-part celebration with a discussion about Rev. Dr. Johnnie Colemon’s thought-transformation series “It Works If You Work It.” Rev. Coleman’s five-part study contains simple, yet powerful affirmations; and more importantly, she shares her beliefs about these affirmations. In retrospection, I find it even more amazing to note the alignment of her study with Universal Truths. Join us in part three of the celebration on Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016 at 7 pm CST, by calling 218-339-9469, access code 20112#.

2016 – The Year of Completion

Posted on Updated on

riseup1.jpgI declare 2016 as “The Year of Completion!”  In keeping with tradition for a New Year, I also have a few predictions, expectations and desires for 2016.   I predict that: Entrepreneurship will be more greatly influenced by the politics of the youth and women; and many economic engines will be ignited by their direct action to create more accessibility and accountability in the existing systems.  I expect that I will attract more clients seeking excellence of service through the Cider Enterprises Business Coaching and Consulting network of partners.  I desire that the physical evidence of “Sistah’s Home – The Place of Love in Action!” is manifested here this year.

Disciplined to Win – Part 1

Posted on Updated on

CE HeaderIn disciplining Cider Enterprises to win as a Coaching and Consulting Company dedicated to “helping entrepreneurs harness the energy of their ideas,” I have to consistently practice what I preach.  Every part of my three-fold business plan requires administrative organization. In each area of the business, I needed to create a significant digital presence. Mind you, I was still thinking in terms of old forms of communication- letters, calls, and memos.  Well, technology happened to me too and I discovered far more effective ways to get the word out!

Life is Working in My Favor In Spite of Unexpected Obstacles

Posted on Updated on

Claudette in hat (2)Life is working in my favor in spite of unexpected obstacles, like in the case of the Authors Appreciation Celebration that was originally scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015. The Cider Enterprises Book Club Conference Call had planned to ‘Celebrate Authors’ who have been showcased during our past three seasons. But, even the best laid plans and efforts can sometimes be unexpectedly derailed because although the event permit was issued and the promotion was in full swing, the City of Chicago decided it was a great time to lay big industrial water pipes in the area. Needless to say, as a participant of the 27th Annual Dauphin Avenue Civic Organization’s Block Club Event, the inconvenience of maneuvering the streets amidst the dust and pipe work, effectively canceled our outdoor event. I extend my heartfelt apologies to all who had planned to attend. However, be aware that I am already planning the 2016 celebration.

It’s always a great honor for me to “Thank” people who support what I do and also, I believe that one’s giving should support their beliefs. Therefore, I offer “Special Thanks” to the Cider Enterprises contributors and the many local groups and individuals, who gave their time and money in support of the Teena’s Legacy 5k Peace Walk.

Our Peace Walk on Saturday, May 2, 2015 was victorious on all accounts. Founder Jamika Smith pulled off an excellent fundraising campaign, gathering community support for her Retreat and Summer Apprentice Program that teaches 16 – 21 year old young ladies the trade of reviving, restoring and reupholstering furniture.
